One Registration Per Child

INSTRUCTIONS

Camp registration has 2 parts. If you have not completed Part 1 where you register your child, PLEASE GO BACK!. Your registration is NOT complete unless you finish both parts of the registration.

Please contact the School Age Program Director via email at SchoolAge@ywcaworcester.org or call (508) 366-8005, ext. 23 with any questions or concerns.

NOTE: If you don’t see a blue box that says “Add to Cart”, please refresh the page.

To checkout: After you click on “Add to Cart”, the Checkout Cart will display on the top right of your browser window. You can then select “Google Checkout” to complete the checkout process.

Please use the appropriate menu box below to complete the registration process.

Using the arrow to the right of the drop-down menu will allow you to select the session(s) you would like to submit payment for. Please note, your registration is not complete until we receive payment.

Camp Registration Deposit

Please use the options below to indicate which summer camp program you would like to submit a deposit for. A deposit per session is required. To submit a deposit for more than one (1) session, increase the quantity in the cart at the top right of your screen after you click on “Add to Cart”.

Camp Wind-in-the-Pines

Ages 6 – 12 years
• Full day from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Transportation from Worcester & Westboro
• Beach-front location with swimming & boating

Camp Wind-in-the-Pines is a summer camp for school-aged children located on Stiles Reservoir in Leicester, MA and provides a wonderful opportunity for your child to explore nature and participate in recreational water sports.

The camp has ample amount of sandy beach and lakefront property with a boathouse and dock, several recreation halls, and a ball field and nature trail. The bath house is equipped with private rest rooms, showers and changing areas for campers.

Campers are divided into specific age groups and are instructed in areas that are developmentally appropriate. Each session is packed with themed activities, games, and projects, as well as traditional camp activities.

For the convenience of working parents, camp hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Parents can choose to drop-off and pick-up their child at three locations – YWCA at Salem Square in Worcester, YWCA at Grove Street in Westborough or at Camp Wind-in-the-Pines in Leicester.

Counselor-in-Training
Ages 13 – 15 years

Once campers enter their teens they want a different experience–the Counselor-in-Training program (CIT) at Camp Wind-in-the-Pines provides teens with just that. The CIT program prepares teens to become future leaders by developing self-esteem, peer relations, interpersonal skills, and leadership techniques.

CIT participants will receive training to prepare them to work with adults, peers, and children. Training includes: Child Development, Group Dynamics, Curriculum Development, Conflict Resolution, and Child Abuse Prevention Training.

Scamper Camp
Ages 4 – 5 years

Designed especially for young children, Scamper Camp provides an exciting and developmentally appropriate introduction to the summer camp experience. Campers participate in variety of summer of summer activities, including American Red Cross swim lessons at our indoor pool and field trips to Camp-in-the-Pines.

As part of the YWCA’s Early Education and Care Department, Scamper Camp staff is comprised of licensed preschool teachers and experienced counselors. Parents can sign their child(ren) up for one or all 10 weeks.
