In celebration of Olympic Day 2015, the YWCA of Central MA is proud to invite kids and teens ages 7-16 to a showcase of some of our popular fitness programs.
Please join us from 5:30-8pm Tuesday June 23, 2015
The following programs will be free for all to try: boxing conditioning, synchronized swimming and swim team.
Olympic Day is a worldwide celebration, on June 23 every year. People from all walks of life, in every nation, male and female, young and old, celebrate the Olympic Movement.
The Olympic Movement is about building a peaceful and better world by educating our youth through sport, practiced without discrimination of any kind, with a spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play, for people of all ages, genders and athletic ability.
On June 23, 1894, Pierre de Coubertin, the father of the modern Olympic Games, saw his vision of participation in sport across the globe regardless of age, gender or athletic ability come to life.
It is important that we come together and encourage our kids to go out and play, stay active, and balance physical activity with the use of internet, tv and video games.
